He created the world's most intimate photo and gave a lot of light
Ivan Puluj was a leading Ukrainian electrical physicist. He earned the title of professor at the Higher Technical School in Prague. He was the rector of the first Electrotechnical Faculty in Europe. He had a doctorate at the University of Strasbourg, was an advisor to the Court of His Imperial Majesty Franz Joseph and held the position of state advisor for electrical engineering in the Czech Republic and Moravia.
Puluj became internationally renowned for his research into the nature and properties of X-rays. However, this discovery is attributed to Wilhelm Röntgen, whose name was later given to the rays. He was the first to use X-rays in practice, namely in medicine. He made the most intimal photo of the human - it from inside (literally)
However, in general, Puluj is interesting as a scientist-practitioner. He worked in the Austrian city Steyr as a consultant and director of a factory for lighting lamps of his own design. He was responsible for the construction of many AC power plants in the Czech Republic.
Thanks to Puluj the world is a much brighter place
