It was attempt to make the flow simulation for the ball valve.
For this purpose was created new project, added some boundary conditions: the volume flow on one side and environmental (atmosphere) pressure on the other side. There also was checked the fluid, which we have to calculate – water, created a computational mesh, then the solver was ran.
When we got results we inserted the flow trajectories with velocity of water (spheres) and the pressure loss (arrows).
On the video we inserted the colored surface according to the pressure loss.
