Meet Tomasz Pruss — Connecting Engineering with Real Production

Behind every successful on-site engineering project there is someone who understands both the logic of technical documentation and the realities of production floors. At GFE Solutions, this role is led by Tomasz Pruss, Head of the TechOps Division — a professional who ensures that engineering plans are not only well designed, but also properly implemented in real industrial environments.

Tomasz holds a degree in Technical Physics from Poznan University of Technology. From the beginning of his professional journey, he has been driven by a deep curiosity about how systems function and how they can be improved through thoughtful engineering decisions. His interest has always extended beyond theory, focusing on practical application and measurable results.

This combination of academic background and practical mindset has shaped his approach to technical leadership and on-site coordination.

From 3D CAD Design to Engineering Leadership

Tomasz began his career in 3D CAD design, working across a wide variety of projects that required both creativity and precision. His portfolio included furniture development, custom mechanical solutions, and electronic components. Each project demanded careful consideration of materials, tolerances, and production feasibility.

This hands-on design experience created a strong technical foundation. Working directly with models and documentation allowed him to understand how decisions made at the design stage influence manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance later on. It also developed his ability to foresee potential challenges before they appear in production.

While working in the United Kingdom, Tomasz joined one of the country’s largest garden building manufacturers. He started as a CAD Technician and progressed to the role of Drawing Office Manager. In this position, he led design processes, coordinated technical documentation, and ensured smooth communication between engineering and production departments.

Managing documentation for large-scale manufacturing operations required discipline, clarity, and attention to detail. It was during this period that Tomasz refined his structured and practical approach to engineering management.

Leading TechOps at GFE Solutions

After returning to Poland, Tomasz joined GFE Solutions and later assumed leadership of the TechOps Division. Today, he oversees on-site engineering support projects throughout Europe, ensuring that technical concepts transition smoothly into operational systems.

His responsibilities include commissioning support, troubleshooting complex installations, supervising subcontractors, adjusting production processes, and coordinating communication between factories and engineering teams. Each assignment requires not only technical knowledge but also the ability to align different stakeholders around a common objective.

Tomasz understands that real-world implementation often differs from theoretical assumptions. Equipment must fit within existing layouts. Processes must adapt to practical constraints. Unexpected variables can arise during installation. His role is to maintain technical clarity while guiding projects toward stable operation.

By combining engineering precision with strong organizational skills, he has shaped the TechOps Division into a dependable link between design and execution.

Engineering Mindset Beyond the Workplace

Outside of professional responsibilities, Tomasz values movement, travel, and exploration. He enjoys good coffee, motorcycle trips, and discovering new places, with a particular appreciation for sunny Italy and its culture. He often describes himself as “half-Italian in spirit,” reflecting his enthusiasm for people, energy, and life beyond technical documentation.

This balance between structured engineering thinking and openness to experience contributes to his leadership style. He approaches projects with discipline and focus, while maintaining a positive and engaged attitude toward collaboration.
