The Great Wall of China isn’t just an architectural wonder—it’s an engineering masterpiece! Stretching over 21,000 km, it was built using a mix of materials, including stone, wood, and even sticky rice mortar!

Ancient engineers discovered that adding sticky rice to the mortar made the wall more durable and resistant to erosion. Thanks to this innovation, parts of the wall have stood strong for over 1,500 years!
