A manufacturer of hydraulic valve bodies was transferring a product family to a new production facility. The existing CNC programs were transferred along with the product — undocumented, written for controllers that no longer matched the new equipment, and running cycle times that were not economically viable on modern machines. Production launch was contingent on replacing the entire program set. The scope covered 14 component variants across two controller platforms, Fanuc and Mazak, with a four-week window before the line was required to be operational.
GFE rewrote all 14 variants from scratch in Mastercam, applying high-feed toolpath strategies in place of the conventional cuts used in the original programs and reducing tool change sequences across the family. Each program was posted and validated for the correct controller platform. Full setup documentation — including tooling sheets and datum definitions — was prepared and handed to the production team, allowing them to run and maintain the programs independently from the first day of production. The complete program set was delivered within the four-week window.

Programs are written and validated inside the client’s own CAM environment — using their software, file structure, and naming conventions. No separate system, no format conversion.
Each project is handled by programmers with direct experience on the relevant platform — Siemens NX, SolidCAM, Mastercam, or STUDER.
All programs are collision-checked and validated in Vericut before reaching the machine. This eliminates first-part scrap and reduces setup time on the shop floor.
All team members communicate in English. Senior programmers also speak German, enabling direct coordination with production and quality departments at client facilities in DACH.
