Experimental fiber production line equipment involves both structural and flow engineering requirements that are closely interdependent. Machine frames and support structures must be validated against operating loads, while the flow behaviour of process fluids within the equipment affects both performance and structural loading. Engineering calculations using MathCad and flow simulation in SolidWorks were required as part of the broader multi-discipline design scope.
GFE applied SolidWorks Flow Simulation and MathCad within the existing multi-discipline engineering team, contributing to design validation of fluid dynamics and structural parameters across the fiber production equipment range. Simulation results were used directly to inform design decisions by the same team responsible for the mechanical design, allowing rapid iteration without handover delays between disciplines.

GFE has resolved field failures where standard corrective measures had already been exhausted — identified through simulation.
Analysis reports are structured for CE technical files, insurance submissions, and TÜV review — not internal calculation notes.
