A manufacturer of industrial engines and generators with over a century of production history required engineering support for component documentation and CNC-related tasks. The client’s internal systems — including the PDM database through which all drawings had to be processed and registered — reflected decades of accumulated process. A new engineering partner who could not navigate that system quickly and correctly would create additional overhead rather than relieve it. Getting up to speed was a prerequisite, not an option.
GFE studied the client’s internal PDM system specifically for this project before any engineering work began. One team member was stationed at the factory in Bremen to establish direct communication with the production and engineering departments and to resolve technical questions in real time. All drawings were delivered correctly registered in the client’s database from the first submission. The on-site presence in Bremen allowed the team to develop a detailed understanding of the client’s processes and to maintain the pace of delivery required by the project schedule.

The team understood our internal processes faster than we expected. The on-site phase made all the difference.
Programs are written and validated inside the client’s own CAM environment — using their software, file structure, and naming conventions. No separate system, no format conversion.
Each project is handled by programmers with direct experience on the relevant platform — Siemens NX, SolidCAM, Mastercam, or STUDER.
All programs are collision-checked and validated in Vericut before reaching the machine. This eliminates first-part scrap and reduces setup time on the shop floor.
All team members communicate in English. Senior programmers also speak German, enabling direct coordination with production and quality departments at client facilities in DACH.
